Christmas is Coming at A Gem of a Challenge.

Our new theme starts today at  A Gem Of a chall  & its my turn to host & Ive chosen the theme of  CHRISTMAS IS COMING easy peasy..lol Lets see your Christmas creations if you have PG image we would love to see  you use it but any image is accepted..
PG digi images & papers listed below..I merged the PNG images together to make this  sweet little snow scene on my oldish Greeting card factory programme still works for me ..lol I wanted a shaped card for this design Go Kreate frilly #10 dies. + SB oval.. S/flakes & border are Joy Noor dies + MS S/flake punch..all have been distressed & copious amounts of frantage has been added..my old Marianne Xmas tree die more frantage..gems & gorgeous stripe blue ribbon is discontinued from SU..

Gem of a chall.. 101 Recipe 3/ 2 /1

Happy Saturday folks another wk. has passed so its time for another Gem of a chall 

This wk.  The Gems are showcasing their Pinkgemdesign creations, our host this time is Debs with a

Recipe of 3 2 1  we would like you to use 3 Designer papers/2 types of Embellishments & 1 Image

on your creation.. I’m still in Halloween mode so used this cute Devilina image from HERE 

you do get black lined images (which I used here) & pre coloured images nice n easy for quick cards..lol

The main purple spider design paper is from Pinkgemdesign HERE. I printed mine onto purple card stock

but there are some fab Halloween colours in the set + a template for the milk carton..great for treat boxes..

my 2 spotty papers are from stash..my 2 embellishments are gems & this gorg black ribbon..
must get some more..

Pink Pink Pink and Gems

Its time for another theme over at A Gem of a Chall the GEMS are showcasing their   Pinkgemdesign 

creations with you this wk & its my turn to host the theme of PINK PINK PINK and GEMS..

we would like to see you use LOTS of PINK & of course GEMS..easy peasy..lol

I’m struggling to get back to my crafting after daughters wedding, if you find my mojo

plz send it home 1st class..lol Thought I would make a crimbo creation  with this cute snowman

with his candy cane (I should say her as its PINK)..lol this digi comes from a set HERE loads

of cute images to choose from. I used a PNG image & printed onto the Merry & bright digi DP

so I could paper piece the hat/scarf/mitts..glamour dust added & matt/ layered onto SB shapes.

Plain card paper has been embossed with S/flakes gems added, punched S/flakes are MS.

The sentiment is is also pinkgemdesign lots to choose from HERE

The Stork has arrived..

We have a new theme for you at A Gem Of A Chall Use 2 BACKING/DESIGN PAPERS..

Janet has been busy designing some super cute images & this lovely “Baby Stork” 

digi image is just one , lots  more NEW Products HERE For a change I made a Baby Boy card,

Boy/Girl pre-coloured & black outlined images in this set, Iv’e used the Pre-coloured Boy one..

think you can see that already by the gorgeous blues..I  have paper pieced the nappy the

stork is carry with the same blue micro dot design paper as the base on a smaller scale..

the Oh Boy paper is also pinkgemdesign  HERE Simple matt & layering onto a scallop card base..

image is mounted onto my fav Floral Oval SB die, SU blue card stock & SU embossing border..

How easy peasy is this chall?? lol  anything you like as long as it depicts a SUMMER theme.

I used my Cartwheel Jodie  digi image from Pinkgemdesigns you get black outlined & pre-coloured.

I coloured mine this lovely raspberry & green colour combo..bet you thought I had my image on wonky?..lol

no our Jodie is enjoying the sunshine & having fun in this flower filled meadow BasicGrey paper

from Green at Heart pad.. The shape is made from SB Grand big scallops/circle dies..

The flowers are made from memory box dies, MS butterfly's, Marianne dies & leaves from a punch set..

As you can see I went for a rocker type shape..made with SB Grand nesties..

 Kraft card stock, the Gingerbread DP is a Pinkgemdesign digi from HERE the cute Gingerbread
 image is of course Pinkgemdesign HERE  I have used a pre-coloured image  I love the colours..
anything to make  life easy, you do get black outlined to colour yourself..

the cute bow is a Simon says die..gems from stash.. it does feel a bit odd making Christmas cards

 in this extreme hot weather were having.. you gotta make em sometime so its a good excuse to 

stay out of sun & play in the craft room..lol

Patriotic Drummer Teddy..

Its time for another chall them at A Gem of a chall  this time we would like to you to use

LOTS OF LAYERS

I was pushed for time yet again..wish our outside project was finished (very nearly)  sigh!!

I tried a simple layered style with this cute Pinkgemdesign  “Drummer Teddy” digi, I used

a pre-coloured image as I was running out of time…but there are black outlined images

to colour yourself. simple matt and layering onto blue/red card stock, as this little chap was 

in patriotic colours I went with DPs to compliment the colour scheme..stripes/gingham digi papers, 

spotty button/twine, stitched ribbon from stash..sadly thats it for my DT creation do hope you can join us?

Fishing Monster Birthday ..

Were back with another chall theme at A Gem of a chall the weeks are flying by..

This time the host for the chall theme is lil ole me.. I chose

“A Male Birthday” you MUST use a BIRTHDAY Sentiment on your creations plz.

I had a Special B/day card to make for a chap who used to be a Fisherman for his living..

I thought this Fishing Monster image was just what I needed..I used the pre-coloured version

but you do get backlined  images to colour yourself.. the Sky B/ground is another Pinkgemdesign

Image is matt & layered onto SB Postage stamp dies. DP’s are from 1st edition pad up & away..

matt & layered onto Kraft card stock.. sentiment is comp. generated, string & fish charm from stash..

Swing it Golf Monster..

Happy Saturday folks hope your all enjoying the sunshine? well this happy Golfer Monster sure is..lol

Its time for another Gem of a chall  again & this wk we would like to see “EMBOSSING” 

on your creations.. Nice n easy & as its coming up to Fathers day I thought I would use this

Golf Monster digi image..from Pinkgemdesigns he comes in pre-coloured which I used here 

(great when your in a hurry) & black lined  images to colour yourself, not that my man is a golfer 

but thought he was quite fun to use..along with the digi Background Sky  simple matt & layering, 

embossing folder I used is called “In Stitches”  the sentiment comes with the Golf Monster image, 

coloured a cocktail stick & made it into a flag..golf ball is a button..

I totally went for the SUNSHINE colour with this card..the beautiful vintage images

as there all gorgeous.. image is coloured with markers & pencils..mounted onto a SB

Fleur De Lis Rectangles die in a pearlised gold card stock.. The DPs are the 

NEW Sugar Kraft digi  papers as I wanted to carry on the SUNSHINE theme, ribbon from stash,

Lala land scroll corners, Crafts too scroll &  Cherry Lynn daisies which are all cut

from the same Sugar Kraft DP  ..pearls to finish..

Chloe in the rain..or is it SNOW?

I hope blogger has been kind & published this Gem of a chall  DT card for me while I’m enjoying

meeting up with bloggers at the craft fair in Harrogate more on that tomorrow. 

We have a new chall theme at A Gem of a chall our teamie Cara has chosen

EASTER/SPRING.. Lets see all your cute Easter/Spring creations,

As I’m still without a printer I had a couple of images in my folder I could use &

chose this cute “Chloe in the rain” it could be Snow the weather we've had lately..

she comes in digi pre-coloured or black lined for you to colour yourself..

As I couldnt print any Pinkgemdesign digi papers I used  this sheet from My Minds Eye.

The edges have been distressed, Chloe is mounted onto SB Nestie die shapes 

 Marianne die with a flower from stash. Pearls & ribbon from stash..the sentiment is Unity..

this card was given to a friend who is rather poorly so has doubled as an under the weather 

 thought it would cheer her up with the fresh colours..Dont forget to check out the

No I'm not being rude..lol thats the new weekly chall theme this time at  A Gem of a chall.  Dont forget to hop over see if your a winner from last wk..?  I wanted to do something different than a card for this wk so I made this "Door Hanger"  am sure any young lady would love to use this to keep out siblings from their personal space. lol The digi chick image is Emma in torn jeans  I used the pre-coloured one & as my printer is getting on but still works I added more colour to her..you do also get black lined images to colour yourself.. but as I said me printer is altho works I feel not effective enuff..for me..& if your short of time there a great idea for quick creations.. the digi DP is an old one from Pinkgemdesigns  but there are still lots to choose from.. I made the basic oblong shape, rounded the corners with Fiskars scissors & covered with  the DP,  cut a hole out for the door handle with a Spellbinders die,  Mag swirl die, brad BUTTON ribbon & pearls from stash..sentiment is comp. generated..

Die & Punches at A Gem of A Chall.

Happy Saturday peeps I dont seem to have achieved much this wk, but I did make this

Twin baby girl creation as my DT for A Gem of a chall thanks for all your stunning Valentine

entries check out see if your a winner.. As the title says this wk we have the theme of

DIES & PUNCHES

I think we all love to use our stash of crafty goodies so lets see some of yours this wk..

My daughters friend had identical twin baby girls last Saturday so this is the card I made

for her & her partner.. the colour is bordering on soft pink/lilac, the sweet cute baby images

are paired up side by side, ALL the PG digi baby images are HERE  janet has even designed some

NEW twin baby images check them out in the NEW Products.. this was so easy as I used the

pre-coloured version but you also get black lined images to colour yourself..  The grand nestie die

was used for my base, the nxt layer I used a sweet PG digi paper lots to choose from HERE sadly you cant

see much of on the front but does look pretty on the back too.. nxt layer was bazzill soft lilac/pink. then another

layer of PG digi spotty paper HERE, image was another SB plain circle die.. magnolia swirl die for the flourish,

the stars are a small punch then glittered..B/flys are a MS punch with bazzill & spotty PG paper. Flowers WOC,

the resign bib & bunny were buttons,  gems & ribbon from stash..thats mine lets see yours..

Hi folks hope your all surviving the rotten weather we all seem to be getting?

I’m back with another Gem of a chall  this time we want to see some EMBOSSING

I've used this lovely sweet “NEW Jodie with Heart digi image” if  you think this is

I printed the digi image twice & decoupaged the heart, “With Love” was added via GCF..

I wanted the feel of spring (dont we all..lol) in my card so chose this lovely lilac

colour combo.. my new Jodie image is framed with SU dies.. digi Lilac gingham

Mr Snowman …

I,m back again with another Snowman card this time its my DT creation

for A Gem of a chall ..this wk its the turn of the Gems to showcase their

Pinkgemdesign creations.. our host for this chall is Debbie with the theme

this chall. runs until Jan 4th so you have 3wks left to enter..

As I am still in Xmas mode (not for long now tho..lol)  & I used one of the “SNOW cute images

found HERE these come in pre coloured  & black outline to colour yourself, or as in

my case Paper Pieced… I better explain bout the DP its a digi from HERE BUT I did have a

play in Windows photo gallery & altered the colour from PINK to this lovely shade of Lilac..

the edges have been distressed slightly with TH inks.. C/Bug corner dies..the large die is a

Marianne..lots of Marianne dies HERE  snowflake is SB die & MS punch ..ribbon/lace & gems from stash..

Gem of a chall #60 "Paper Piecing"

I'm back with my Gem of a chall  creation to share with you.. as the title says the chall theme this time is "PAPER PIECING" our teamie Debbie is hosting the theme..  I wanted to make a fairy card for one of my GD..so this sweet Fairy Chloe was just what I needed.. I coloured her flesh with markers & used glamour dust on her wings..a fairy gotta have sparkly wings..lol  her tights & dress have been "Paper Pieced" with a Micro dot digi DP which I made a lot smaller so it was in proportion with her little dress.. Base card is 6x6 scalloped,  DPs  are from "NEW coconut Ice collection"  MS Snowflake border punch, large snowflake Marianne die loads HERE.. ribbon & gems from stash..

Wow another wk has flown by so its the turn of the GEMS to showcase their  Pinkgemdesign creations at A Gem Of a Chall .. the theme this time is  RIBBON AND LACE plz..use both..our host is Sazzle  I used these NEW cute digi Owl clip art images HERE  great value for money you get 20 pre coloured png images fab for quick cards.. I should have flipped my lady Owl so you could see her prezzy..nxt time..lol I glittered the white pom poms & scallop frame with stickles.. DP is another digi from the New "Coconut Ice" collection . frame is large scallop SB.. the cute sentiment is from the same Owl digi pack..love the bright colours..ribbon & lace from stash.. the small snowflakes are the waste from the MS PATP  from another card..
