Tutorial on Paper Piecing a TILDA Image..

Bit of a long post so go grab a cuppa & I hope it helps some bloggers..??
As promised I have done a VERY basic easy step by step piccy tutorial
on paper piecing an image. This is the way I piece a stamped OR Digi
image with design paper..
Over on Totally Tilda chall. we had a chall for Paper Piecing a Tilda image
sadly quite a number of entrants had to be deleted for not complying with
the theme..I had an email from an entrant explaining she didn't know what
paper piecing an image meant.  The blogger had not understood our wording..
We forget there are NEW bloggers & our overseas crafters who all love to
take part in challs. & make the effort to create beautiful creations only
to be disqualified.. so here goes step by step..

Here I have stamped 2 Tilda images, one on my design paper, the
other on my chosen colouring pad.. If you are using DIGI images
simply pop your design paper in the printer & print your whole image.

In this piccy you can see I have used a nestie shape & cut the Tilda image out.
The design paper I have cut out Tildas DRESS this is what I want to piece up..
(A little tip if your design paper is a one way pattern make sure its the right way up..
I cant tell you HOW many times I've stamped it upside down..)LOL

This piccy shows the coloured image & the cut out dress in design paper..
another TIP if you are using a Nestie or any other die to frame your image
cut the stamped image out FIRST ..  I use a PVA dries clear glue to stick the
cut out dress to the finished coloured Tilda  as it has some play so you can
line it up & the glue wont mark your work..

Here Tilda now has a new Designer Dress ..doesn't she look smart??
Glitter etc can now be added...

Here is the finished creation the Butterfly digi down load papers are available
from Pinkgemdesigns & they go so well with these Tilda images.

Some more examples of Paper Piecing technique..
click on ANY of the pics for a closer look..

With this image I pieced Tilda's Coat & Pocket, Brolly & Boots.

Tilda's dress & parasol have been Paper Pieced on this creation

If you have any questions plz. feel free to email me..button in side bar..
thanks for stopping by Christine xx

Hi Christine,
My apologies for not being around much (again!) I was working extra hours all last week, so it was work, cook, shower and bed!
I love paper piecing, it ties the card together so well and I've done it myself when I've not liked the colouring too much!
Your tutorial is fab, very easy to follow and well worded.
Love the blue Tilda card, so very pretty.

Hugs Elaine xxx
